To make money selling electronics you will first need to find a good and stable supple of electronics to sell. You could advertise in local newspapers for used electronic items to buy for resale, though this is perhaps not the best way to go. Luckily, there are other ways.

1. Start slow and get to know the business. If you have lots of electronics of your own that you can sell, start with that. Source your electronic items locally to see what sells best and what doesn't. Keep spare part as they may come in handy at some future date.

2. You could advertise to buy used electronic items in your local newspaper. This will involve some outlay of money, but treat it as a necessary overhead. Some of the items you buy may need to be fixed up a bit, and if you can do simple repairs, this will not be a problem. If not, perhaps you can find someone who can repair items for you.

3. The best way to have a reliable supply of electronic items is to buy from a liquidator. This is a company that buys up bankrupt and out of business stock. They buy the stock cheap and they can pass on the cheap prices to you. An electronics liquidator will be cheaper for electronics in new condition than any wholesale warehouse will be. Do a search on Google for "electronics liquidator."

If you buy stock from a liquidator you will most likely have to buy in bulk. There will probably be a minimum amount to buy as it will not be viable for the liquidator to sell in lesser quantities. Make sure you can afford to spend the money up front, though you should certainly be able to make a good profit once you do so.

4. Remember that you will need to plan where to keep the stock once you have bought it from the liquidator. A large garage will probably be big enough, or a spare room or two in your house. Just be sure you know where you are going to put it, and that the space you have allocated really is large enough.

5. With liquidated electronics stock you will have a number of options as to where you can sell it. You can sell on Ebay, the world's largest auction website. The electronics category is always very competitive, but if you have liquidated stock you should have no difficulty competing.

You could also put ads on Craigslist. Craigslist allows you to target by city, which could be useful if you wish to target large metropolitan areas. Another advertising site that can have excellent results is USFreeAds, and there are many more too.

6. One option you should not overlook is creating your own website to sell from. You can buy your own domain name from NameCheap or GoDaddy, get good inexpensive hosting from HostGator, and use the free WordPress blogging software to create a very professional looking website.

When you add a payment processor such as PayPal, which can accept all the major credit and debit cards, and lets you open an account for free, and you promote and market the website properly, making money selling electronics can be a very easy thing to do.
